SOHO LOFT

Our clients were expecting their first child and saw this big moment as a great opportunity to update their sun filled, spacious Soho loft in preparation!. Due to the layout of the space, converting one area into the baby’s room meant reimagining the entire space simultaneously. We began by giving the bathrooms and kitchen a contemporary look, all equipped with concealed storage. With an elegant and subtle hand, we made notable upgrades- a shower in the master bathroom, which originally only offered a tub, additional massive storage space in the entry area, and concealed washer & dryer unit in the kitchen. By placing heightened doors executed in a frameless, concealed fashion at the entry points of the apartment’s intimate spaces, a clear differentiation was accomplished. Behind one of these doors the master bedroom itself was completely remodeled. As one flows through their morning, the dressing area logically became the connection from the bedroom to master bathroom. In the expansive master bathroom, we chose to cover the space in large format ceramic material resembling sandstone to create a clean, natural feel. In alignment with the existing bathtub, we made the addition of a spacious shower enclosure with a bench.
