In 2013 Uli Wagner Design Lab was asked by Proenza Schouler to adapt a space originally designed by David Adjaye to be rolled out for their network of new stores in Asia. The brief was to warm it up with distinctive signature PS elements. On a budget, Uli Wagner Design Lab created a design flexible enough to be adapted to the very different floor plans of each of the stores. In addition, Uli Wagner Design Lab introduced new more luxurious, softer materials to complement the original concrete, glass and steel, to create a more appealing and sensuous feel, as well as a new feature wall with inbuilt vitrines to showcase luxury product.
One of Uli Wagner Design Lab great strengths is the ability to adapt a distinct brand identity to multiple retail locations with different footprints, all on a tight budget.
