Uli Wagner Design Lab was invited to contribute designs for the new Missoni men’s and women’s flagship stores. Missoni was looking for an iconic, recognizable and standardized retails design concept that could be applied throughout their flagships worldwide. Uli Wagner Design Lab proposed a unique “kit” of iconic standardized units, almost like children’s building blocks, that could be used in different configurations to achieve different effects within the overall architecture of the different spaces. This flexible concept was designed to allow collaboration with local artisans for wall, floor and ceiling-finishes to achieve, the rich patterned, signature Missoni look.
