WINE FOLLY

Uli Wagner Design Lab designed a tasting room for a family-owned Monte d’Oiro vineyard in the rolling hills of Portugal’s Lisbon wine region. The design concept was inspired by the stunning landscape and views. The structure has a sensual curved shape and large windows, creating a dialogue with the natural surroundings. Partially buried, the structure limits the impact on the environment, but allows for a complete experience for the visitors and staff. The lower level – accessed via an elegant exterior ramp – is where UWDL designed offices, a terrace, and the signature large airy tasting room, with bespoke wine storage units and a large communal table fabricated from marble and wood.
