Design Lab
For Interior Architecture

Uli Wagner has a broad background in both architecture and product design. His extensive education in both fields has enabled him to work for over 15 years with world class firms on industrial products, as well as residential and commercial projects. He is a former art director at the studio of Peter Marino Architect and is the lead designer for the store concept of Ermenegildo Zegna.

Uli studied architecture and product design in Braunschweig, Germany and in Milan, Italy. After collaborating with renown designers in Italy such as Piero Lissoni and Patricia Urquiola on stand designs for trade fairs and product lines for Italian furniture brands, he set forth on an impressive tenure in America and focused initially on all aspects of luxury living.

In addition to completing several award-winning high-end apartments in New York, he was co-author at the studio of Shelton Mindel and Associates for Nessen lighting products and two bathroom lines of Waterworks, recognized with the Elle D├ęcor Award for Best Bathroom 2005.

From 2004 onward Uli had left the world of residential planning to work for Peter Marino Architect, where as art director, he oversaw large-scale commercial projects with complex interior design features and facades, among them Louis Vuitton stores in Hong Kong and London. His Vuitton Landmark HK project with two intricate stairs was given the AIA Honor Award for Interior Architecture 2007.

The opportunity to work for years as the right hand of Mr. Marino gained Uli excellent expertise in brand strategy and positioning.

Uli was also the lead designer for the new store concept of Ermenegildo Zegna, culminating in global stores in almost every major fashion capital. For the past few years he helmed both Vuitton and Zegna accounts, which included guiding the following from start to finish.
